Had a lot of fun for one hour. Two friends and I did an escape room. It was challenging enough for us to require a hint but we did finish. The puzzles were satisfying. Since we had some time left over, we also played one of the “arcade games.” It was a team based shooter called “cops and robbers” or something similar to that. It was easy but fun. I suspect other arcade games are more challenging. And there was enough space in real life for us to actually move around the virtual world. The staff were actually knowledgeable about the games and were able to help us make a decision based on our puzzle requests (like we wanted challenging puzzles and she was able to narrow down the selection to the most challenging ones). One thing that was unexpected and delightful about the escape room that real life escape rooms cannot emulate easily is that the escape room actually kind of worked against us. There were elements in each room that moved and kinda rearranged what we needed to achieve. We had to pay attention to those factors as well as just solving the puzzle. The price was really good, though we did do it for the Spring promo, which made it a little cheaper. Still, the price is equivelant to other escape rooms. And there was the added bonus of the arcade game when we had more time left over. Not sure if that’s always gonna be an option but it was nice. And it made for a kind of teaser. I wouldn’t have paid for the arcade game in that moment but now that I’ve tried it, I know it can be really fun. So I will be going back. Anyway, super worth it.
